So...since Skull Island is going to be part of the same universe as the current Godzilla canon, and Lanard acquired the rights to make Kong toys, do you suppose they'll make any toys for the next Godzilla movie? It seems like the intuitive thing to do, assuming all parties involved were happy with the Kong toyline effort.

I think they will be doing it, Im sure Blake mentioned on his Instagram that he was going for more meetings with the film studios after the Kong stuff was released.

hmm! that would be interesting! i've already bough the jakks pacifics 2014 godzilla to go with lanard's kong! their sizes are somewhat okay. kong is shorter than godzilla but not too short! still, i have to wonder what their godzilla would look both in design and size! and seeing that there will be other monsters i wonder if they will give his enemies the same treatment? of course its usually bandai that makes the godzilla toys, we'll have to wait and see for 2018!

I really hope that Lanard gets the license. Especially if they do more and more actors and actresses from the films.

I will honestly be surprised if Lanard gets the rights to do the Godzilla toys for the sequel. Godzilla's US toy rights seem to already be sewed up, while Skull Island and Rampage were new properties which did not have existing presence in the market.
That said I would be pleasantly surprised to see Lanard release a tie in line of toys. Especially when we get to Godzilla vs King Kong down the road.
