I've kinda grown to love the Hap-e-Kid Cybotronix line, particularly the large-scale robots. I have a few, and they look and feel like the best of 80's B-roll toys, when there were giant Toys 'r' Us aisles filled to the ceiling with action figures, all vying for a place in the crowded but successful market. In CA, you can find these at Ross stores. Not all of them are winners. The M.A.R.S. line has a lot of bulky, crappy "Transformer-Lite" stuff that doesn't do anything for me, as well as motorized 'bots that are all about lights and sound. Kid-stuff for sure, and fun, but not my bag. I'm all about the MARS Hero line, which is about interchangable parts - mostly pop-off ball jointed stuff, but done in a nice rubbery plastic that maintains some poses and settles nicely, without feeling cheap. They really find a nice balance of inexpensive and playable. The large scale Robotica bots, pictured here, are great giant mechs or assault bots or whatever, especially in scale to 1/18th figs. The interchangeable arms and weapons are fun, and aside from no swivel at the elbow (Which would have knocked them out of the park) I've been pleased to pay $14.99 for each, though I am still missing one of the four. I'll take some out of package pics soon, but wondered if you chaps had seen or enjoyed these. Attachments:

I have some of these staring me in the face as i type this I like them A LOT and had to track them down as they were not easy to find at all. Which one are you missing (i've got 2 available for trade - Cronus and Gorgon). The smaller MARS Heroes ...i went ALL in on those when they first came out. I actually created custom on of a kind 1'' tall alien pilot figures that could be seated inside of the Alien figures chest . I wasn't a big fan of the human MARS heroes figures but the aliens were very good for the price (a little more range of motion in the joints would have made them excellent). Much like Lanard Hap P Kids toys is a company i pull for. They make fun , varied and unique product that competes with the larger industry names at a lower price.

Cronus, actually, is my missing link. I've got an eye on one on ebay, but haven't pulled the trigger, mainly because of a few other things that take priority. Are you looking for anything to trade, or a price?
I have the six small mechs as well, which are really good poor-man's Armored Core figures. There is a sweet cross-sell on the back of a card-back I saved that shows MARS Hero vehicles that I'd love to see. I'll try to scan it tomorrow and post.

Currently the only thing i'm "collecting" is Mega Bloks (and the new Corps! line when it is released). If you have a trade list i'll look it over though .
I bought the 9 to 11'' tall MARS HEROES KO figures (basically scaled up versions of the 4'' guys). It looked so good in the package ....and fell apart within an hour. Still ..it was and is worth the $3 i paid lol

Picked up a set of the Mars Heroes as a gift for one of my sons, they look pretty solid and I think he will enjoy the swapping play pattern (we have a big bin of Hero Mashers which they like). I have not seen the bigger mechs in the wild yet.

Can you take some pictures with a new recruit or newer figure side buy side? Picked up a set of the Mars Heroes as a gift for one of my sons, they look pretty solid and I think he will enjoy the swapping play pattern (we have a big bin of Hero Mashers which they like). I have not seen the bigger mechs in the wild yet.

They are on a ball joint so the can be popped off and swapped. So unless that adapter came out i doubt it unless you want smallish robot heads for snakebite or puma. Are those heads compatible with Corps??

If I'm not mistaken, these are closer to like 3 to 3 1/2 inch figs.

Sage did you see the blue , orange and green Aliens as shown on the card back along with the MARS Heroes?
Also when these first arrived on the scene many used them for Joe customs (as sen on the forum Joecustoms). They work pretty well.
