Some call them mercenaries. Some call them an army for hire. Daniel Burke, AKA "Spider," called his agency a private military contractor. As the founding member of Defense Management Alliance (DMA), Spider was able to gain insight into different world government agencies as he helped train soldiers to defend their own lands and provide security to world leaders. DMA became a leader in defense, tactics and research and development of new weaponry. Little is known about Burke's background. Most of his file at Corps HQ is classified. Some say he is former elite military while others say he is former CIA. One thing is known, Spider is one of the best in the world at what he does. DMA, who had a reputation of only hiring the elite security contractors and engineers the world had to offer, was quickly targeted by Plague. Many contractors were swayed by the thought of augmented power and monetary wealth and left to join The Curse. This decimated the ranks of DMA and soon his "army for hire" became Plague's own Shrapnel Soldiers. Spider and the faithful few left of DMA have now pledged their allegiance to The Corps although Spider's strong will makes it difficult for Rain to harness at times. Rain has left him in charge of his team as a branch of The Corps! in the fight against The Curse. Head: modified Bolder (sculpted hair/beard and cut down nose) Torso: modified Decoder (dremeled down to look like a shirt) Arms: Fixer Legs: Plague (dremeled out the holster to be usable) Accessories: Chap Mei

Here is a comparison pic of Bolder and Spider. At a glance, it may not seem like much of a difference, but a side-by-side shows the nuances of the nose job. I modified the beard to take away the smirk too. I really liked the use of the Fixer/Ranger Rick arms. I've always thought they were way too long, but feel this body combo worked well with it. The first reason I called him Spider was due to his freakishly long arms. However, they actually don't look that long. I also had fun with the backstory and felt like it was a good explanation for the upcoming Shrapnel army builder. Originally, I wanted to make an Adventure Team type of squad, hence the gray tee. However, I felt the private military contractor story could be worked in and they could still do fun type of missions since a lot of PMCs do several types of things. I'll be making the the rest of his team which consists of a female and two other male soldiers.
