Lanard has my sets inbound. I really want to thank their promotions dept for stepping up with information. They have big plans...."outdated soldiers"...lanard is on fire.

Really excited to see this! I was very interested in what he had to say about the actual figure. Apparently the head is on a ball joint. I know there's a peg hole in the back, but I don't know if it is unscrewable like the regular figures.
It doesn't look like the lower legs will be able to fit on the old figures due to how wide the base is. However, it is pretty awesome to see somewhat of an ab crunch in there too. Overall, the figure looks fantastic in hand or at least in that guy's hand. They are really stepping up their game.

I asked him and he says that there is a screw in the back.

I thought it was funny when they posted it because selling outdated figures has been their bread and butter for so long. I'm hoping for redesigns. Really I'm just hoping that at least one of the new figures has a base that will connect with their existing "outdated" torsos. That would be fabulous because we could update everyone of the figures into the modern era.

I thought it was a dig at Hasbro...

I thought it was a dig at Hasbro... You are likely right. I figured it was aimed at competition. I thought the timing was weird since the new figures haven't been released to the States yet and they only have their old stuff on the shelves...actually their Kong line was new. Tom and Sam's figures (head sculpts to be exact) are technically new.

Tycondrius, does the Impact figure actually only have a swivel head (I.e., the Elite line) or is it on a ball joint that only swivels due to the torso? Thanks!

Looks like he only has swivel . in fact looks like both only have swivel its just there is a slight gap between El-Jefe torso and neck that gives him a little more articulation

That's so interesting that they didn't go with the ball-jointed head like the females. Don't know if that was for compatibility reasons or what. I'm actually a little disappointed with that because I purchased some cheap WWE Rumbler figures to use their heads for them. I wish someone would cast the ball joint peg on both neck joint styles.
