Hey, after how great Rampage and Kong: Skull Island were I was wondering what people thought Lanard should go after next or just what they’d like to see.
I put five options off the top of my head in the poll.
Obviously every option could be a far reach but thought it might be some fun discussions.
I wasn’t sure if this discussion was already happening (in full) or should be in this category but I’m sure a moderator can fill me in, fix the problem.
I was watching the newest Fast movies the other day and noticed that the cars have become more over the top looking and crazy and the main focus is definitely less and less on cars and more on characters so I thought that’d be a good fit for how Lanard does their sets, a simple one character with one crazy car release with maybe some XL vehicles and smaller henchman type sets could be cool too. Endless possibilities. I don’t really see a lot of Fast merchandise at stores and it’s a very big franchise so it’d be awesome to have a Jason Statham and Vin Diesel in Corps style.
I hope everyone has even more far out options on their wish lists.

Of the ones listed, I voted for Fast and Furious. I think what you suggest would work very well. In a perfect world we could have single carded figures of all of the main characters and then deluxe sets with a vehicle and driver.
I can't see Lanard getting the Godzilla license, frankly. Toho has well established licensees for toys already. Lost in Space is intriguing, but I don't know if a toyline based on a Netflix series is as attractive as one based on a major motion picture.
Pacific Rim, that's a tough one. Because it would be great to get 3.75" figures of Raleigh, Mako, Deacon, Jake, and so forth, I don't know that Lanard would be able to handle the Jaegers and Kaiju the way the existing NECA toys do. Scale becomes a big issue there. But being honest, I would be extremely excited for a 3.75" PR line even if it was just figures and not Jaegers.

Good timing Dylan... the trailer just dropped for The Predator! That looks like a line which Lanard could so something with! Soldiers, military vehicles, and a monster!

That would be a perfect fit. Hopefully get some cool civilians too, I always want more of those. Imagine a lights and sounds Predator ship? That’d be amazing.

Hiya Toys is currently making 1:18 scaled Predator figures (and did figures for Aliens: Colonial Marines), so I don't see Lanard getting the rights to that.
I actually do see Godzilla being likely, since both Kong and Godzilla are being handled by Legendary in the US and are being tied into a shared universe.

But are those available at retail or online only? The most attractive part about Lanard to me is being able to go to the store and buy it. I would love to have that happen, especially because I haven’t been able to find a Kong anywhere yet!

I’m usually more about figures than vehicles but I ❤️❤️❤️F&F. That’s my vote.

Ofthe lines you ave listed i chose Godzilla *only* because of the kaiju. Lanard seems well suited for moderately priced Giant monsters. Other companies charge and arm and a leg so i'd be thrilled to get some cheap giant bad guys.
I'd vote for Pacific Rim for the same reason as well as receiving Jaeger pilots in those snazzy pilot suits.
Fast and Furious would be ....good. I'd like that as well. The diversity of the cast and the international appeal would really bolster the line. I'd buy something from the line for sure.

I can't remember the last time I've seen anything from them at retail. Considering that there were Predator and Alien figures released under the ReAction and NECA brands during the same time period, I don't think it's out-of-the-question that Lanard could get in on them too...just probably a bit unlikely.

The American Godzilla franchise is handled by Legendary, but ultimately Legendary is licensing Goji and his ilk from Toho, and Toho has long had relationships with Bandai and NECA among others. So I just don't see that changing.
I still would eat up a 3.75" Pacific Rim line of the Jaeger pilots!

I vote F&F. You already have three Rocks likeness for Hobbs. Trickshot could pass for a Brian O'Conner. Give Titan a Caucasian paint job and you've got a Dom Toretto and a dark skinned Puma can be Letty.

I like the way you think jknox... and you can always incorporate the other existent heads as bad guys and original characters.

Resurection!
I am pissed that Lanard let Godzilla franchise fall into Jakks Pacific's hands. With the heavy military presence of the WB Godzilla King of Monsters movie it would have been an easy re-paint for most of the humans.
