Aside from articulation in the hips, I'd like to see the older real-world weapons as well. Also, I'll echo...Army Builders! Especially for The Curse. And a new, unique take on Plague.
With more characters, I'd like to see more mission sets - Small sets, like the ones done for Kong, that tell a little story. There is an amazing one from the old-sculpt era that is posted on here that has two operatives looking for warheads, as well as a treasure-hunt one that I'd love to see redone in the modern line. Like, "Recover the Nano-Bots" or something. The Beast Strike sets, with Mecha-Kong and the T-Rex are on the right track, but smaller sets could be done as well, with art to match.

-I recall seeing a set from the 90's online, Animal Patrol. The set up was that little magnetic computer packs allowed the Corps to communicate & bond with predatory type animals. Go on buddy patrol wit them. John Eagle had a wolf & an eagle that he could bond/buddy up with. It would be pretty cool to see this concept make a come back. New animal sculpts paired with the Corps! Elite would be rad. Diesel & a Manta Ray ect... <edit: I discovered that the Beast Strikes playsets come with both the Jaguar & the Alligator from the 97 Animal Patrol.>

I was always fascinated by Cobra's zombified troops. I'm wondering if something like that could work for the Curse--using nanotechnology as the explanation, of course, instead of chemical exposure (as Cobra's were). Perhaps "defective" nanotech recipients who became zombified or mutated by the nanobots. We could get some sweet army builders out of that, I think. I realize zombies as a pop culture item are becoming a bit cliche, but I think there's still room in the 1:18 action figure market for some.

Funny you should mention that cos in my canon Eagle Eye and Decoder are "Droned" by Plague to become Shrike and Hacker (see my Shrike digi custom)

I wish they would reissue some of the vintage vehicles. I would love another chance at the Attack Helicopter, the Humvee type ones, fire truck etc.

I had heard the name "Whispering Willie" before, and saw a custom of him on Hisstank, but I didn't know he was a Corps character! I figured he was probably just from some obscure Joe comic or something. Now I want to see a modern interpretation of him. He'd need a new sculpt to do him proper justice, but I think it would be well appreciated.

MW, here are some modern updates to some of the beloved Corps figures hat have been out for years that I've always loved (which includes Whispering Willie). These are great modern interpretations. I know Lanard won't go to these links to update them, but the new offerings are close in articulation and sculpt. We can only hope for more of what we are getting. Modern Custom Corps Figures

Modern Custom Corps FiguresThe versions of Whispering Willie I saw were a little more post-apocalyptic than this one...that's the one I had in mind, though I wouldn't object to an update of this other version. I wouldn't even mind seeing a whole faction like him, though they might hew a bit close to the Dreadnoks. Nice customs there, too. Very close in spirit to the originals. I was impressed they managed to make Hat Trick not look like a total dork!

I didn't think a lot of people bashed the Corps in that thread.. There were several complaints about the lack of articulation and the sculpts. You gotta remember that the thread was made in like 2012 so it was right after the Pursuit of Cobra line which, by many, feel is the gold standard for Joe articulationand sculpts. With what the public was getting in large quantities (peg space at major retail chains other than TRU), the Corps looked lacking at the time. .
I, too, was once an "articulation snob" and looked down on the Corps product. However, my son changed my perspective because we played with the figures. Joes broke easily, but the Corps stood the test of time. As I spent more time with the line, my appreciation grew with them like it was when j was a kid playing with the Corps. Now that they are updating their articulation, we are getting the best of both worlds from a playability and sculpting/articulation standpoint.

I agree with Sageforsaken, quite a bit of anti-Corps comments in there.

Huh...flash back. I believe that thread was when i finally realized that it`s the modern joe body i don``t care for . I love articulation and demand it on my purchased figures. However.. the Corps characters looked better as Corps! figures in that case. It wasn't because of the artist execution but simply the platform itself. The characters didn't translate well because the figures themselves leave something to be desired in my opinion..
This just makes me look forward to the new Corps! figures even more.

I can agree that I am very impatiently looking forward to these new figures. June can't come fast enough.

I really wish Lanard would do an awesome toy commercial, like this awesome 90's joe tv spot. Maybe drop the goofy cosplayers and do some simple stop motion featuring the Corps!?

I'd like if they created 2-packs which include a single figure (preferably an army builder) and a ton of accessories in place of the second figure--say, one of those accessory sprues or some "loose" guns/backpacks! The kind of stuff where having duplicates is a good thing! Would be a great way to build up your army and your armory at the same time!
