So the main aim of this is to show Lanard and fans how far you can go creating new characters with the existing parts (obviously new head sculpts would be ideal in most cases however Lanard have shown in their new products how repainting heads can create a new character altogether ie: the Ravage/Diesel head) Some of these are customs Im currently working on and others are photoshop mock-ups. At the time of creating these, Lanard seems to be heavy parts re-use (ala the 80's Masters of the Universe line) Ive designed these keeping that in mind to keep costs down but be able to create new characters. However with new characters sporting new articulation coming later this year it will be interesting to see what possibilities they present... First up a brand new team of CORPS members including an old familiar face... This lot adds a bit more diversity and a medic!!

Now we get to The Curse, and how we can bolster their forces as well as add some cool storyline elements. With Shrike, the backstory goes as follows: Former Corps member Elliot “Eagle Eye” Reaver and teammate, Trent “Decoder” Tanner were ambushed and captured by The Curse in a botched mission led by Alex “Rucker” Brody. The two Corps men were brainwashed with Plague’s A.I nano machines and became members of The Curse. This caused Rucker to relinquish his command of the Corps over to Kenji “Rain” Shinto. Now calling himself “Shrike”, Reaver is an unwilling pawn in Plague’s war against humanity. An ace fighter pilot as well as an expert in covert reconnaissance, his talents bolster Plague’s ever-growing army. I have also added in the "extra interchangable head" idea. Now we can have an unhelmeted head that shows off the Droned/Brainwashed version of Elliot Reaver aka Eagle Eye! Colonel Wraith Once a decorated and well respected officer of the US Marines, Jeremiah Wrathburn served his country with pride until one fateful mission where he was severely injured in battle and left for dead. Found by Plague, he was nursed back to health with the aid of Nano technology. Disillusioned and angry at his country for abandoning him, he joined The Curse under his new persona, Colonel Wraith! The Curse covert operations. Their Night Vision equipment can either be a separate clip-on accessory or a new head sculpt that you can swap out.

Now onto some of my favs! The storyline has the potential to be shaken up drastically with the addition of a third party! Enter... The New Marauders! After the defeat and incarceration of the Marauders, Simon Crill was held at a maximum security CORPS prison. He was later rescued by his long time ally Mako. Upon learning of The Curse and their war against humanity and The Corps as well as Ravage missing and presumed dead, Crill takes the codename 'Dread' and starts to reform a New Marauders group. Recruiting some of the most vile and ruthless mercenaries across the globe, The New Marauders now have to face both The Curse and The Corps even sometimes teaming up with their arch enemies against the Curse for the greater good... Note: Dusk is the female Marauder we see in the Devils Due comic With my next concept for a Marauder character, one thing to note that with this figure I have included an alternate had as a pack-in accessory (much like some lines like Masters of the Universe Classics with their ball jointed interchangeable heads) It looks to me like this is possible from what Ive seen on pics of the new female figures' ball jointed neck pegs, if not then the goggles can be an accessory that fits over his head... but I think new figures going forward should have this part swapping feature as it encourages people to buy extras to pose both variations or for custom purposes... Other accessories worth noting for this character would be a Fuel tank back pack with a soft tube that would plug into a new Flamethrower weapon. Also we have a demolitions expert hailing from Nigeria. He is made from a Fixer/Crash torso, and the head and arms of one of the Roo figures (arms were also used on 'Troll') and Shadow legs. Here's SCORCH & BLASTER, the demented pyromaniac from England and a dangerous demolition expert... two of Simon Crill's new recruits!

Lastly for (now ) In the original video clip on the CorpsHQ website we saw some sweet Marauder troops www.youtube.com/watch?v=U826OIaW3U8We never got them in figure format so I decided to try mock them up using existing parts (plus a new head I designed based on the video)

Gunner O'Grady really has the "it" factor working in his favor .Something about the boxers nose and helmet combo ....
I'm very curious as to what Lanard will release later this year. It really will make or break my interest in buying new product. If it's more t crotch figures i'd rather buy the some of the 2nd wave New Recruits as i like those colors and they strike me as a better base to work with for customs.

So WHY aren't you working for Lanard already?? Also, glad to see some more minority characters in the mock-ups! I honestly can't remember the last time I've seen a Corps figure with duskier skin than Puma. Diversity is always appreciated! (Scorch is from England? I couldn't tell from those teeth! )

I've been in the joe community since The Bivouac days so i've seen a lot of things come and go. At this rate, unless the fall / winter Lanard reveal includes a fully articulated army builder , we're going to see demand for molding and casting new custom heads for this line (just like we did in years past for GI Joe product when Hasbro went dark for a few years). I've been doing both (and more) for well over a decade and planned on making a "cobra blue shirt" style helmet with varying skin tones to be used for eventual fodder bodies .
I bring this up as it's unlikely that Lanard will create everything we want as fast as we want and clearly AWCramer has ideas he wants produced so..
Maybe we need a list of what type of head sculpts we would like to see in advance ?

I too would like to see a bit more color diversity in teh official line but if the prices stay as they are i'll just make my own.

The ethnic versions.....(HMMMMMM..LOL that was me, GUILTY). Yes there are 3 ethnic CORPS! Figures, and I too hope we get more. The custom digi art is fantastic, I always love seeing AWCramer's work and now we have just the board to show these amazing customs.

You've done some amazing work here that I appreciate a great deal. I especially thank your pointing out the Diesel/Ravage head thing. I never even realized until you pointed it out, but it's amazing how different two figures can look with a simple change in paint application

Those Tundra Team digibashes are fantastic, especially Kodiak, who has a great survival/Adventure Team vibe!
