The Original Marauders Soldiers would have used the Mirage bodies.

Ok, I hear what you are saying but really that torso in the pic is definitely not Mirage.  There is no badge on the torso and the armor plates closer in size to Bolder's. They are also layered like Bolder's vs the flat plane Mirage had. Also we almost always get characters using molds in pairs and Mirage had Rain where as Bolder was a single character use. |

The animation was done before the figure used was decided, the Marauders were scheduled to have several additional characters added in after roadrash, and While the art looks one way, I can tell you that the plan was to reuse the Mirage torso. All of this was changed when the decision was made to bring in the Curse storyline. I'll see if I can find the prototype figure, I'm pretty sure it's still here.

AWCramer, Leinil Francis Yu, and Greg Winters both contributed to various art mockups for the Marauder troopers, back when these were pitched. There would have been the helmeted one and one wearing a ball cap, the helmeted one never went further than a preproduction prototype, The ball cap head though did get used in the Los Mineros: Heroic Rescue set.

That set looks like they just put Straight Edge's head on an John Eagle torso. And then added Rain's legs on his waist. |

It's not straight edge's head, it's similar, the marauder hat-wearing trooper did indeed make an appearance on the actual box art for "Area Breach' without his sunglasses. Attachments:
