Hi all. Figured this is the place to do it, so I'll fire this one off.
I came here from HissTank. I've been a real fan of the Lanard stuff about 4 or 5 years, though I knew of the Corps in abstraction since the 80's. I had a few of them among my Joe collection, but lost track of the Corps for a long time until they more modern Corps vs. Marauders line hit Walmart. I was particularly impressed by the card art and the headsculpts, and the price point was just right to get me to dive in. I've been going back and getting a few things from the older lines here and there, but my real interest is in the newer,. 'retro-future' stuff that Lanard is doing in the Corps vs. Curse line. I'm amazed at the design choices, and really love the aesthetic they are going for.
Like most current 1/18th collectors, I'm a bit older, but young at heart. I enjoy my kids starting to take an interest in my hobbies as well, which in turn rejuvenates my own passion. Win-win!
Glad this board is here. There is so much potential for the Corps mythology, and I hope the current team at Lanard continue to push creatively. Glad this board is here!

Well, I hail from Maine (United States). Small town boy, grown into a small city man. I'm kind of a neo-hippie (peace, love, music, all that crap), but with a shaved head and strong sense of realism. I'm very non-materialistic, but the need for a hobby and impending mid-life crisis made me want to collect my favorite toys from my childhood. This would normally entail Masters of the Universe or GI Joe, but I'm not made of money LOL When looking into Chap Mei sets and seeing they weren't available in my area anymore, I went for my second choice: The Corps! Haven't looked back since! I would've started collecting with the Marauders had I the money and space. But okay, I'll start with the Curse. My plan is to get everything I can from the 2015-16 collection, and from there, grab the odd collection of figures from the Total Soldier or New Recruits lines. It's hard with the lines running into each others so much, but I'll get there. Especially with the help of a forum like this PS: My avatar pic is because when I finally got a hold of a Bolder figure, by girlfriend of 13 years said "OMG look! They made a figure of you. It's Mini-Matt." So there ya go. Granted I'm in my mid-forties and overweight, but he really does look like a younger, more fit version of me...

Hello everyone, this is ljacone, also known as ljacone over on Hisstank, TFW2005, Tokunation, and so forth.
I grew up as a GI Joe kid along with my older brother in the 80s, and have remained a fan of the 3 3/4" fighting man since that time. Started getting into the Corps when the three pack Land/Air/Sea team sets started showing up in Walmart, and have been following the line ever since. The addition of the new articulation to the female buck and an increased story/mythology presence has really elevated the brand for me, as well as the higher level of paint apps and the general design motifs.
Right now I am enjoying the Corps vs Curse line as it reminds me of the GI Joe toys I played with in the mid to late 80s, including their durability. I have given Corps toys as gifts to a few kids who like military play, with great success, and hope to introduce that sort of play to my kids as well.
Looking forward to seeing what is coming down the line from Lanard as well as discussing that with everyone here!

Hi, Some Gamer Dude over on Hisstank.
Really came to appreciate The Corps with the recent push from Kmart Australia. Had some as a kid, but I don't recall thinking very much of them, but I loved the vehicles. I was obsessed with the Ninja Force GIJoes lol.

Hi everyone!
My name is John Fertig. I started out as a toy inventor and designer with Marvin Glass in Chicago then went off on my own with FSD Design Group. That is where we licensed many concepts to Lanard. I know the owner very well.

I guess this is my first post here, I thought I had posted before. I got into collecting 3 3/4 knockoffs about 4 years ago when I ran out of cheap Joes and Star Wars to collect. I have almost all the common Corps from 1986 to now. I'm still trying to get atleast one of every vehicle mold. I'm still missing a couple. I know a few of the guys from Facebook groups. I also run the GI Joe Remco Knockoff page on Facebook. I opened a retail store with my Dad this last November so I haven't been as active in the groups. It's a local store I'm selling toys and he sells auto parts and beer signs. I also went to the Lanard Toy sale last November and it was awesome. Hi guys, Im Sho, from the Philippines. I think I am the most recent fan of Lanard or G.I Joes or any 3.75" action figures here.. I'm actually more of Gundam fan, but I just discovered The Corps action figures at our local toy outlets this May, and Im kind of hooked. A month collecting hasnt even past, and my collection started growing. And not just with Lanard, I also started collecting True Heroes from Toys R Us, and World Peacekeepers from M&C. I want to start a GI Joe collection too, but they are pretty expensive and hard to find the cheap ones. But my main focus on collecting right now is Lanard's The Corps vs The Curse. However the list of sets available here is limited. Hopefully, in next two months I might be able to buy even just one of the Kong Skull Island play sets, they cost more, Im still waiting if Toys R Us or the local store, Toy Kingdom will ever put them on sale.. Lol Im blogging about my toys, including the new addition, The Corps. At www.thetoystream.blogspot.com, I hope you guys visits it. Thanks!

So many familiar faces! Hello, everyone! I'm Erick, aka C.I.A.D. (Cobra Island Arms Dealer). You may know me from HissTank, Cobra Island, TFW, ToyArk, Facebook, so on, so forth. Like many of you, CORPS has been in line of sight for decades now, but I've never really enjoyed them more than I have in recent history. The latest designs are so much fun and have reminded me that toys were meant to be enjoyed, not left on a shelf.
On that note, I look forward to future discussion with you all. Take care!
