I know a lot of folks have had questions about the interior of the APC. Here are some shots. There are two seats, one for the driver and one behind the driver for a passenger. The passenger seat faces a control console with video monitors. There is a fantastic decal of the monitors that shows vitals and two camera feeds. Behind the passenger seat is some empty space. I think this empty space is one of two missed opportunities - a seat back there would have been a great addition. (The other missed opportunity is the width of the APC - the wheel well exterior sticks out in the back and makes the APC about 1/8th of an inch too wide to fit in the Rainfire Helicopter )
As laid out, the APC is configured for two figures.
Of course, that changes if you don't mind being more creative. If you use the rear cargo space as a seat, and double up on the console seating, you can fairly easily fit four o-ring era figures. It looks a bit cramped, but not too bad. The figures are touching, but not overlapping.
The Total Soldier V1 / Colonial Marines that come with the set are a bit broader, but you can still fit three easily by using the "cargo" space.
Either way, for a relatively small vehicle, it's easy to transport four vintage figures or three newer ones.
Add that to the detail on the decals and the sculpt, as well as the price point, and this set is a no-brainer.
One downside, though, is that some of the newer figures (like Jurassic Clash style) end up being a little bit tall and have trouble fitting with the hatch closed. Nonetheless, this is a tremendous vehicle. I'm considering whether it's worth grabbing a second to shave off those sides to see if I can fit it into the Rainfire.
