What Country/State or region are the Badlands in the Corps?

I was just wondering what country or region that they may be in.

it could just be the Badlands national park in South Dakota or somewhere else.

It is hard to know the answer until we get a corps universe comic or something. But the second Time Crisis comic ended in the Tabernas Desert in Spain which possibly is the setting for the Badlands? But who knows.
