Pretty pumped to see new comic stuff on the Corps website, its made me want to show you guys something. The creative studio I'm a part of ( www.theydidthis.co.za) did up some comic art of what we imagine an ongoing Corps! comic series could look like. What do you guys think?

That is bad ass. Those pages look just as good as the IDW GI Joe comic.

That is fantastic. So surprised you guys haven't been contacted to do this type of work for them. The talent and creativity is there. You all obviously have a passion for the product too. Very impressed!

That's really cool! The art and colors are really solid. I'd certainly be interested in seeing more of this. Nice reference to older team members as well!

Thanks guys. Fans of the Corps really need to come out in their numbers and tell Lanard what they would like from the brand. Otherwise I can only see them offering the same old same old. I want to see more avenues of merch explored and see the brand expand beyond toys much like GI Joe have done in the past. Its time for this brand to step out of that 'Joe-knock-off' shadow in my opinion.

Ha! Crill was here. Nice work on that. The Rain artwork is on point too. I really prefer the clean work you do as opposed to what is on the Lanard website. It really brings the characters to life.

"Hasselhoff, Germany"?
I agree, too; the artwork is fantastic! You guys know what you're doing.

I don't know how Lanard would get a decent return on investment, but the team who put together those pages should do a short or series when the new recruit line launches. Especially since IDW seems to be dropping the ball on the Joe comics line. Make a True Blue series and put it out there. Digital distro is easy, but paper costs more money. A mini comic like the old ones in He-man would be cool, but again add to cost (but spread over a national distribution like Walmart would lover the per unit costs).
Maybe get license from Lanard and do a Kickstarter/Patreon or motion comic on Youtube?

Even better do a series in old school cmyk flats with digital zap-a-ton to lower costs (or even black and white).
Actually, this would be a perfect product to pitch to Image. The rights would need to be worked out between the creatives and Lanard, but Image could handle the money and distro. With the USA in a Reagan fractal (he also had trouble in his first year) a RAH type series would be right on time for 2018. A card wit a serial number giving away the first issue could be included in the New Recruit packs (prob too late for that though).

Hey there. The pitch we sent Lanard included all options from print to digital taking into consideration print costs etc. Whilst they liked what we pitched it ultimately came down to money and ROI. I hope to revisit the pitch with them down the line.
